Chapter 1 of Your Daytime Fireworks, “Golden Tickets,” has concluded. It is now time to move into Chapter 2 and buy your Firework Packet NFTs!
A Guide to Chapter 2: Firework Packet Minting
To set off your own daytime firework in the near future, you first need to acquire a Firework Packet. The public sale of the Firework Packet NFTs will begin on April 20th.

How to Purchase Your Firework Packet NFT
1. 3 different times to purchase Firework Packets (EST)
- April 14th, 10 AM EST: Friends and Family access — Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4 only
- April 18th, 10 AM EST: Presale access to Golden Ticket Owners only — Tier 5
- April 20th, 10 AM EST: Public sale — Tier 6
2. Collector Tiers & Benefits
Considering our limited supply of Firework Packets, to further thank collectors who’ve been supportive since the very beginning as well as the Golden Ticket owners, we’ve devised 6 Tiers that will determine how many Firework Packets you can mint and at what price. The Tiers are as follows:
Tier 1: Exploding the Self Owners
- 2 Firework Packets will be airdropped to their wallets for free (2 Firework Packets as airdrop per 1 Exploding the Self piece). If you own 2 pieces of Exploding the Self, you will get 4 Firework Packets airdropped to your wallet.
- Able to mint 2 additional Firework Packets at half price, 0.09 ETH.
Tier 2: TRLab NFT Owners (AI 2041 artworks, AI 2041 Collector Cards, works by David Ariew, and our POAP from the recent Art Business Conference in London)
- Able to mint 2 Firework Packets at half price, 0.09 ETH.
Tier 3: Friends and Family of TRLab, Cai Guo-Qiang, and broken thread
- Able to mint 2 Firework Packets at full price, 0.18 ETH.
Tier 4: Partnered Communities
- Able to mint 1 Firework Packet at full price, 0.18 ETH.
Tier 5: Golden Ticket Owners
- Able to mint 1 Firework Packet at full price, 0.18 ETH.
Tier 6: General Public
- Able to mint 1 Firework Packet at full price, 0.18 ETH.
A small reminder: If you’re an Exploding the Self NFT owner, we will airdrop 2 Firework Packets for free directly to the wallet that holds your edition of Exploding the Self. We will be taking a snapshot of all Exploding the Self owners and TRLab NFT owners on April 13, 10 AM EST, so if you want to take advantage of your ownership status and mint more Firework Packets at a discounted price, please ensure your NFTs are in the correct wallet before the aforementioned date.
Please review the tiers to determine the highest tier in which you are eligible. You may notice that additional benefits unlock as you advance up in tiers. As a result, our benefits do not stack or double up.
Ex. If you own multiple AI 2041 artworks and a Golden Ticket, your benefit will be those identified in Tier 2.

3. Firework Packet NFTs can be minted on YourDaytimeFireworks.trlab.com
Presale for Golden Ticket owners will begin on April 18 at 10 AM EST. The remaining Firework Packets will be made available to the public starting on April 20, 10 AM EST. Once all Firework Packets sell out, there will be no additional packets released.
Unlike the Golden Ticket NFT, Firework Packet NFTs are transferable, meaning if you miss out on these sale periods you can still purchase a Firework Packet on the secondary market (on OpenSea).
4. Reserves for the Team, the Artist, and Beyond
For the people who built this project, we will be reserving a certain percentage of Your Daytime Firework NFTs for them:
- We are reserving 360 Your Daytime Firework NFTs, approximately 5.2% of the total supply (360/7,000), for the team (Cai Studio, TRLab, and broken thread) and future giveaways.

You may have guessed that Firework Packets, after they are acquired, must be ignited in order to release fireworks into the sky…
Indeed, after the conclusion of Chapter 2, we will enter Chapter 3, the final climax of Your Daytime Fireworks! Starting on April 25th, collectors will have 45 days from which they can choose to ignite and launch their fireworks, with close attention to the special details released by the project team each day. Factors such as weather conditions and local regulations on minimum safety distances can impact the effect of each firework display, so choose wisely when to launch your fireworks …

- If you were part of Tier 1–4 and hold a Golden Ticket, you can only mint as a Golden Ticket Owner. Your benefits from Tier 1–4 do not apply.
April 20, 10 AM EST until Sold Out:
- Tier 6
- Any remaining tokes not minted by Tier 1–5 are able to be minted, subject to availability.
- Tiers 1–5 can participate in the Public Sale or the secondary market.
While there are 7,000 available editions, having access to a Tier above does not guarantee a mint. We are providing comfortable windows of time for everyone to participate when they feel the gas price is suitable to mint. Busy network periods may require more gas for a successful transaction. If your transaction fails due to not having enough gas, you may lose your opportunity to mint.
